A man approximately 60 years old was shot during a robbery while cycling on the Estrada de Ipiíba in São Gonçalo, Brazil, on Saturday morning. According to preliminary information, he was approached by two assailants on motorcycles who announced the robbery. During the incident, one of the criminals fired a shot at the victim, who sustained injuries as a result of the attack. Following the robbery, the suspects fled the scene at high speed, evading capture.

The incident prompted a swift response from the local fire department, which received an emergency call around 6:30 AM about a gunshot victim near the local Ciep 414 school. Firefighters arrived on the scene to administer first aid to the injured cyclist before transporting him to the Hospital Estadual Alberto Torres. Thanks to their prompt action, the cyclist received the necessary care and was able to be discharged later that same morning.
