On Monday afternoon, a woman was shot in the head during a robbery in the Retão de Manaíra area of João Pessoa. The incident occurred as the suspect attempted to steal the victim's vehicle, and the moment was captured on video. The 32-year-old victim was quickly aided by a Military Police vehicle and was taken to the Hospital de Trauma, where she underwent emergency medical procedures and was discharged the following day.

Prior to the robbery in Manaíra, reports indicate that the suspect had stolen another vehicle in the Mandacaru neighborhood. After the shooting, authorities stated that the suspect fled towards the Bessa area, where he stole a motorcycle and headed towards Cabedelo. The situation escalated as the suspect managed to take another motorcycle in Cabedelo, after which he abandoned it to cross over to Lucena, where he was eventually apprehended by police.

Law enforcement, specifically the Special Battalion for Tourist Police (BEPTur), reported that upon his arrest in Lucena, the suspect was found in possession of a revolver and multiple rounds of ammunition. This incident highlights ongoing concerns over public safety and crime in urban areas of Brazil, with authorities intensifying efforts to respond to these violent occurrences.
