In the early hours of Thursday, a man was shot during an attempted robbery in São Pedro da Aldeia, located in the Lagos Region of Rio de Janeiro. The victim was shot in the arm and right hand while riding his motorcycle. He managed to escape from the assailants and sought medical help by himself, arriving at the Doctor José Seve Neto Municipal Hospital before the police were alerted.

According to the victim's report to the Military Police, he was being pursued by another motorcycle that had two suspects on it, dressed in black clothing and wearing face masks known locally as 'ninja hoods'. The incident escalated when the suspects allegedly caught up with the man on Rua do Fogo, at which point they announced the robbery and attempted to steal his motorcycle. During this confrontation, the man was shot, but despite his injuries, he was able to flee the scene.
