VIDEO: One thousand square meters of marijuana plantation discovered in MG
A one thousand square meter marijuana plantation was discovered in Fervedouro, Brazil, following an anonymous tip to the police.
In Fervedouro, Brazil, authorities uncovered an extensive marijuana plantation covering approximately one thousand square meters in the rural area of Córrego Ribeirão do Jorge. The discovery was made after police received an anonymous tip-off about illicit drug cultivation on Friday the 13th. Upon inspection, the Military Police confirmed the presence of the extensive cannabis crops, though the exact number of plants has not been disclosed.
During the operation, the police also located weapons believed to be used for securing the plantation. The seized materials included a rifle with a magazine, a .32 caliber revolver, and six .32 caliber cartridges. This evidence suggests a potential level of organization and preparedness among those involved in the operation of the marijuana plantation, indicating that the cultivation may be part of a larger drug trafficking network.
The confiscated materials have been sent to the Civil Police department for further investigation, although no arrests have been made at this stage. The incident highlights ongoing challenges related to drug cultivation and trafficking in Brazil, as authorities continue to combat illegal drug activities in rural areas.
