The Public College of Law launches its new arbitration system
The Public College of Law in Buenos Aires has introduced a new arbitration system aimed at enhancing conflict resolution practices in Argentina.
In recent days, the Public College of Law of the Federal Capital has unveiled a new arbitration system, spearheaded by its president, Ricardo Gil Lavedra, and legal and technical coordinator, Alejandra GarcΓa. This initiative is considered a significant step forward as the adoption of arbitration in Argentina has been slow, and this new system aims to change that.
The introduction of this arbitration system is considered auspicious, particularly in light of the successful experiences observed in other Latin American countries such as Brazil, Paraguay, Chile, Peru, and Ecuador. These countries have demonstrated that as international arbitration has developed, domestic arbitration has also gained considerable strength. The new system in Argentina is designed to facilitate conflict resolution for medium-sized enterprises and individual litigants, emphasizing the autonomy of the parties involved and the efficiency of the proceedings to quickly resolve disputes.
With this launch, the Public College of Law seeks not only to modernize the dispute resolution landscape in Argentina but also to provide an accessible and effective alternative to traditional judicial processes. The push for stronger arbitration practices could lead to enhanced business environments and help establish Argentina as a more favorable location for resolving commercial disputes.
