Government enables online form for registration of those affected by the fire in Multicomercio
The Ecuadorian government has launched an online registration form for individuals impacted by the recent fire at the Multicomercio building in Guayaquil.
The Ministry of Human Development in Ecuador has announced the activation of an online registration system for persons affected by the devastating fire at the Multicomercio building located in the BahÃa district of Guayaquil. Firefighters battled the blaze for 36 hours, controlling the emergency, though the incident led to the collapse of two towers within the complex and left three additional structures at risk of falling. In total, over 100 families were evacuated from the premises and nearby buildings as a precautionary measure.
In response to the calamity, both local and state entities have set up institutional assistance tables at the site to coordinate support for those affected. This community effort aims to facilitate the provision of necessary aid and resources to those who have suffered losses due to the fire. During a press conference, Zaida Rovira, the Minister of Human Development, announced the implementation of an online survey form where the affected individuals can register their details to access support.
The creation of this online platform is intended to streamline the process of assistance and ensure that victims can receive the help they need in a timely manner. The link to the registration form has been made publicly available, allowing easy access for those impacted by the incident to record their information and seek aid in the aftermath of this catastrophe.
