Three Latvian biathletes qualify for pursuit, Fijons-Majē wins Olympic gold in sprint

In the men's sprint event at the Milan-Cortina Olympic Games, Latvian biathlete Andrejs Rastorgujevs finished in 30th place, with other Latvian competitors Rihards Lozbers and Edgars Mise coming in 32nd and 52nd respectively. Kentēns Fijons-Majē from France claimed the gold medal, demonstrating exceptional marksmanship by hitting all ten targets and completing the race in 22 minutes and 53.1 seconds, ahead of Norway’s Vetle Sjåstad Christiansen and Sturla Holm Lægreid.
Rastorgujevs performed admirably despite a shooting error, finishing the race in 24 minutes and 56.9 seconds, which put him two minutes and 3.8 seconds behind the race leader. After the race, he expressed regret for his previous negative comments about his performance in an interview, showing a more positive outlook now and praising his teammates.
