Turkish Airlines has celebrated a significant milestone with the introduction of its 500th aircraft, an Airbus A350, which features images of 100,000 employees and retirees on its exterior. The event took place at Istanbul Airport, where the airline showcased the aircraft, symbolically named 'Turkish Airlines Family,' which will officially join the fleet by the end of 2025. This celebration reflects the airline’s commitment to acknowledging the contributions of its workforce.

During the event, the captain of the 'TK500' performed a celebratory maneuver in the skies over Istanbul, drawing the airline's logo along with the number 500, marking this remarkable occasion. Turkish Airlines’ Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee, Ahmed Bolat, emphasized that the 500th aircraft is not merely a fleet addition but represents 93 years of collective effort, determination, and success. This milestone is a testament to the airline's growth and expansion over the years.

Bolat noted that Turkish Airlines has grown its fleet from 65 aircraft in 2003 to over 500 by the end of 2025, currently servicing 356 destinations across six continents.
