Frost continues its victorious march
Icy conditions are forecasted over the night in Eastern and Southern Estonia, with snowfall and blizzards, while more variable weather is expected in the West and North without precipitation.
The weather in Estonia is set to take a turn as icy conditions grip the Eastern and Southern regions overnight, bringing with them snowfall and blizzard conditions. Meanwhile, the Western and Northern parts of the country are expected to experience more variable cloudiness with no significant precipitation, although there may be some light snow flurries. This contrast in weather patterns highlights the diverse climate conditions across different parts of Estonia.
After midnight, it is anticipated that cloud cover will diminish everywhere, reducing the likelihood of snow. Winds will be originating from the northeast and north, blowing at speeds of 5 to 10 m/s, with gusts reaching up to 15 m/s. On the islands and western coastline, winds will be stronger, averaging 10 to 15 m/s, with gusts potentially hitting 19 m/s. However, as morning approaches, these winds are expected to weaken, providing some relief from the harsh conditions.
The temperature will vary significantly across the country, with colder areas experiencing 11 to 17 degrees Celsius, while inland regions could see up to 20 degrees. Coastal areas around the islands might be slightly warmer, experiencing temperatures closer to 7 degrees. This substantial temperature variation underscores the importance of monitoring local weather forecasts, as conditions change rapidly based on geographical location and time of day.
