In 2025, the total turnover of businesses in Greece reached 492.062 billion euros, marking a 1.6% increase from the previous year, according to the Hellenic Statistical Authority.

According to the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT), Greek businesses achieved a turnover of 492.062 billion euros in 2025, reflecting a 1.6% increase from 484.461 billion euros in 2024. This growth indicates a positive trend in the economic performance of various sectors, particularly in Mining and Quarrying, which saw the largest increase in turnover at 11.2%, and Education, which increased by 8.9%. However, some sectors like Public Administration and Defense reported a significant drop in turnover by 11.6%.

In the fourth quarter of 2025, the overall business turnover reached 129.441 billion euros, representing a 1.4% rise from the previous year's fourth quarter total of 127.629 billion euros. The growth during this period was largely driven by the Education sector, which achieved a substantial increase of 15.6%. Conversely, Real Estate Management was among the sectors that faced a downturn, reporting a 9.3% decrease in their turnover.

These statistics not only highlight the performance of different sectors within the Greek economy but also suggest areas of growth and decline. The robust performance in sectors like Mining, Quarrying, and Education may reflect strategic advancements or investments, whereas declines in Public Administration, Defense, and Real Estate could indicate underlying challenges. The overall increase in business turnover signals potential economic recovery and resilience in the Greek market, crucial for policymakers and investors looking towards future economic strategies.
