The bus driver, who is 54 years old, reported to the police that he had stopped to let passengers disembark before proceeding to reverse and then move forward, when he heard shouts indicating that he had hit someone.
Upon checking outside the vehicle, the driver discovered that part of the victim's body was on the sidewalk while her legs were trapped under the bus. Emergency services were called by witnesses, and the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) arrived to provide immediate assistance. The woman was reported to have sustained serious injuries, with various lacerations, highlighting the grave nature of the incident.
