Summer Fires 2025 in Chios: The myBusinessSupport platform is open for business support

The myBusinessSupport platform has been launched to assist businesses in Chios affected by the summer fires of 2025.

On February 12, 2026, the myBusinessSupport platform was officially opened, following the publication of the new ministerial decision aimed at supporting businesses in Chios that suffered economic losses due to the wildfires in June and August of 2025. The initiative is being supported by the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE), which is facilitating the application process for affected businesses.

Eligible businesses, which must have been registered for VAT as of December 31, 2025, are now invited to express their interest on the myBusinessSupport platform. These businesses must be operating legally within the regions impacted by the wildfires and have faced significant financial losses as a result of the disasters. The government aims to provide timely assistance to ensure these businesses can recover from the economic ramifications of the fires.

The support initiative will be implemented in two phases, starting from February 12, 2026, with the first phase focusing on immediate support while outlining the criteria and procedures for the second phase to follow. This program is crucial for restoring the local economy in Chios, which has been severely impacted by the destructive fires, and reflects the Greek government's commitment to disaster recovery and support for affected communities.
