Spanish University Opens Full Scholarship Call for Ecuadorian Journalists

Nebrija University in Spain has launched the second edition of the Constructive Journalism Competition aimed at Ecuadorian journalists. This initiative seeks to acknowledge journalistic works that focus on projects, initiatives, and stories aimed at the common good, highlighting the importance of constructive reporting in media. The competition is open to graduates in Journalism or final-year students who have published news articles or reports in accredited Ecuadorian media.
Eligible participants will have the opportunity to compete for a 100% scholarship to pursue a master's degree in Communication at Nebrija University, conducted online. The competition encourages journalists from various media sectors, including television, radio, print journalism, and digital platforms, to submit works published between May 1, 2025, and April 4, 2026. A jury composed of academics from Nebrija, Ecuadorian university representatives, and notable members of the country's journalistic community will evaluate the entries.
The initiative reflects a growing commitment to enhancing the quality of journalism in Ecuador, providing opportunities for journalists to further their education and promote constructive narratives that benefit society.
