Ecuador's President Daniel Noboa has launched the 'Because He Is Nice' initiative, providing 150,000 free English scholarships aimed at improving educational and employment opportunities for citizens aged 18 and older. This program is designed to help individuals from various social and economic backgrounds gain access to crucial language training that can enhance their professional development.

The initiative has already reached numerous beneficiaries, including athletes, students, entrepreneurs, workers, educators, and professionals, enabling them to access studies, jobs, academic exchanges, international training, and new markets through language acquisition. By empowering individuals with English skills, the program emphasizes the importance of language as a key competency for employment, social mobility, and personal growth.

The announcement took place at an event in Miraflores, Guayaquil, attended by the Minister of Education, Sports, and Culture. Noboa's initiative reflects a broader commitment to fostering individual and collective capabilities, underscoring the value of English proficiency in today’s competitive job market and global landscape.
