Federal Highway Cinema Truck arrives in São Luís with free traffic education program
The Federal Highway Police's traveling cinema truck is in São Luís to provide free traffic education from February 13 to 17.
The Federal Highway Police (PRF) has launched its traveling cinema initiative, known as the Carreta Cinema Rodoviário, in São Luís for the first time, offering a series of free traffic education activities. The mobile education unit is located at the PRF Delegation on BR-135 and will be open to the public from February 13 to 17, from 8 am to 6 pm. This initiative aims to raise awareness among the local population about traffic safety and responsible behavior on the roads.
The cinema truck features a fully air-conditioned space equipped with a large screen for film presentations and hosts educational lectures that focus on traffic education, making it accessible to all community members. Before its arrival in Maranhão, the truck was operational in Pernambuco and will proceed to Sergipe after its stint in São Luís. Since its inception in 2025, the initiative has traveled over 41,000 kilometers across 11 states, reflecting its commitment to promoting road safety nationwide.
The timing of this event is particularly crucial as traffic safety remains a significant concern in Brazil, with road accidents contributing to a serious public health issue. By providing accessible educational resources on traffic rules and safe driving practices, the PRF aims to foster a culture of safety that benefits all road users in São Luís and beyond.
