The Amazonas State Hematology and Hemotherapy Foundation (Hemoam) announced modifications this Thursday to the selection process for the Blood Hospital in Manaus, impacting the salaries and working hours for the nursing staff. The updates were made to ensure that conditions for nurses match those offered in other higher-level positions within the organization. The updated announcement can be accessed on Hemoam's official website.

Significantly, the salary for nurses has been increased from R$ 4,318.18 to R$ 4,700.00, while their working hours have been reduced from 40 to 30 hours per week, including 10 twelve-hour shifts. Additionally, the number of vacancies available for nurses has increased from 20 to 26, with 21 open to the general public and 5 reserved for individuals with disabilities. As a result, the overall number of positions in the selection process has risen from 265 to 271.

According to the Amazonas State Health Secretariat (SES-AM), these changes are aimed at promoting equality among categories and addressing salary disparities within healthcare roles.
