Park Jung-min, a prominent actor from South Korea, has been appointed as the ambassador for Chungju City to enhance its image and cultural offerings.

Park Jung-min, a notable South Korean actor, has officially been appointed as the ambassador for Chungju City in North Chungcheong Province. This appointment, announced on December 12, comes as part of the city’s efforts to boost its image and brand value, leveraging Park’s connection to the city since he was born and raised there. The city plans to collaborate with Park to present various cultural content that showcases the charm of Chungju over the next two years, until February 8, 2028.

His appointment was facilitated by Kim Seon-tae, the head of the Chungju City New Media Team, who made the proposal during a guest appearance of Park on the YouTube channel ‘ChungTV’. In the proposal, Kim highlighted Park’s role as an ambassador aimed at vividly representing every aspect of Chungju’s beauty and culture. Although the formal appointment document and agreement contain some discrepancies, both parties agreed on the importance of highlighting Chungju's appeal through Park’s involvement.

In a statement, Park expressed his deep appreciation for the opportunity to represent his hometown, stating that he will strive to share the allure of Chungju with many people. Aside from his ambassadorship, Park has made a name for himself in the film industry with works such as ‘The Guard’, ‘Dongju’, and ‘In Our Prime’, and he runs a publisher called 'Mujé', engaging in writing and production as well. His diverse background in acting, publishing, and cultural engagement positions him well to effectively promote Chungju effectively.
