'El Gansito' of La Unión Tepito and the ex-girlfriend of 'El Tochi' among those arrested in Cuauhtémoc property

Authorities in Mexico City arrested several individuals, including Celem 'N', the ex-girlfriend of a deceased member of La Unión Tepito, during a drug-related operation in Cuauhtémoc.

A recent police operation in Mexico City led to the arrest of Celem 'N', the alleged ex-girlfriend of Joshua 'N', also known as 'El Tochi', a presumed member of the La Unión Tepito gang who was killed in a gunfight in March 2025. The arrests took place inside a property located on Francisco Javier Clavijero street in the Paulino Navarro neighborhood of the Cuauhtémoc borough. This location was previously identified by the Secretariat of Citizen Security as a suspected site for illicit activities, particularly related to low-level drug trafficking.

Acting on a search warrant obtained through evidence presented to a Control Judge, the authorities discovered not only Celem 'N' but also three other individuals at the scene. During the raid, police confiscated 52 doses of a substance believed to be methamphetamine, alongside 258 doses of a white powdery substance. This operation underscores ongoing efforts by local authorities to combat drug-related crimes and dismantle the operations of organized crime groups in the capital.

The connection between Celem 'N' and 'El Tochi' highlights the ongoing ramifications of gang-related activities in the area, as individuals close to these networks can often become involved in criminal undertakings. As investigations proceed, the case may open further inquiries into the operations of La Unión Tepito and the broader implications for public safety and drug trafficking patterns within Mexico City.
