‘The Guasona’ Arrested, Alleged Operator of La Unión Tepito, in Buenavista
Angélica Adriana, known as ‘La Guasona’, was arrested in Mexico City for her alleged role as an operator for the criminal group La Unión Tepito.
Police from the Secretariat of Citizen Security of Mexico City arrested Angélica Adriana, also known as ‘La Guasona’, who is a 28-year-old woman identified as a priority target for allegedly being an operator for the criminal group La Unión Tepito. She is believed to be part of a faction led by Irving Jonathan H., alias ‘El Irving’, whose main role involves collecting money obtained from drug distribution and sales in the Buenavista neighborhood.
In the police operation, authorities also detained Rommel C., alias ‘Rommi’, a 45-year-old man identified as the brother-in-law of Roberto M., known as ‘El Betito’, who is responsible for distributing drugs to street-level dealers operating in various areas of the Cuauhtémoc borough. This arrest adds to the ongoing efforts of Mexican authorities to dismantle drug trafficking organizations that have plagued the capital city.
Intelligence operations conducted by law enforcement led to the identification of ‘La Guasona’s’ operational area, linking her to a criminal group responsible for money collection related to drug trafficking. The broader implications of these arrests highlight the continued battles against organized crime in Mexico, which pose significant challenges to public safety and the rule of law in urban areas.
