Seoul National University of Science and Technology Job Plus Center Operates Job Competency Level-Up Education
Seoul National University has successfully implemented a job competency training program that enhances practical understanding and career preparation for students over the past year.
The Job Plus Center at Seoul National University has reported significant achievements in its year-long 'Job Competency Level-Up Program', designed to systematically enhance students' practical understanding and career preparation skills. Unlike traditional short-term lectures, this program features a tiered educational structure planned on an annual basis, allowing students to continuously assess and strengthen their job competencies in alignment with their career stages, ranging from basic understanding to practical application.
The program was tailored based on student demand from the planning phase and featured flexible adjustments during operations, ensuring participation from a diverse range of students in terms of majors, grades, and career paths. The curriculum emphasized practical job understanding, learning based on real cases, and the applicability of job skills, integrating both online learning and offline lectures to enhance accessibility and engagement. This comprehensive approach resulted in an impressive average satisfaction score of 4.78 out of 5 and a satisfaction response rate of 95.6%, confirming the program's educational quality and effectiveness.
Participating students expressed positive feedback, stating they gained a better understanding of how skills are applied in real jobs and that the program helped them set directions in their job preparation process. Additionally, there was a clear interest in re-participation and the desire for follow-up programs. A representative from the Job Plus Center highlighted the goal of assisting students in understanding and preparing for actual jobs, emphasizing this annual program as a demonstration of how practical skill-based education can be effectively implemented at the university level. The center also plans to continuously expand educational programs to align with student needs and changes in career environments.
