The Government of Maranhão is offering 6,000 paid internship opportunities for youth aged 17 to 25 as part of the Young Work Program 2026, encouraging job market entry.
The Government of Maranhão has opened registrations for its Young Work Program 2026, which aims to provide 6,000 paid internships to young people aged 17 to 25 in both public and private sectors. The application process will remain open until March 9 and can be conducted online. This initiative is designed to enhance job market access for Maranhão's youth, offering opportunities that support their professional development early on.
Managed by the Maranhão Secretary of Industry and Commerce (Seinc), the program stems from the State Law No. 11,384/2020 and includes a total of 2,000 internship positions in state public agencies and 4,000 in private companies. The program is a significant step to prepare young individuals for employment, targeting those who are currently studying and in need of practical experience.
The Young Work Program has already made considerable impact by providing over 15,000 students with internship opportunities in its five-year history, leading many participants to secure their first jobs following program completion. This ongoing initiative reflects the state's commitment to addressing youth unemployment and enhancing their skills through structured internship experiences.
