On Tuesday, a truck driver experienced a serious incident on BR-251 in Francisco Sá when he lost control of his vehicle at kilometer 447. The truck veered off the road, falling into a slope along the highway and subsequently overturning. Fortunately, the driver suffered only minor injuries and was able to exit the vehicle on his own before emergency services arrived. Emergency responders, including the Fire Department, quickly arrived at the scene to provide assistance and ensured the safety of traffic by marking the area. The driver was conscious and oriented when they found him, and he received initial first aid before being further assisted by the Emergency Medical Service (Samu). The truck was carrying a variety of goods, and local authorities were alerted to handle a situation involving a potential looting of the cargo that started occurring due to the accident. The Federal Highway Police also responded to the incident, highlighting the seriousness of the situation and the impact on regional road safety.
