Recife opens health care service via mobile during Carnival; find out how it will work
The city of Recife is launching a mobile health care service during Carnival to address increased demand for urgent medical care.
The Recife City Hall is introducing a 24-hour mobile health care service known as the Central de Teleatendimento em SaΓΊde during the Carnival season. This initiative, which will begin on February 12, aims to provide initial risk assessments and direct patients to specialized facilities, responding to the historically heightened need for emergency services during this festive period.
Users will access the service via the Conecta Zap messaging system, with the number (81) 99117-1407. Individuals sending a message must select option zero in the menu to initiate contact with the virtual assistant known as 'SUSi.' This automated process will guide revelers through their requests and offer preliminary information based on their health needs, streamlining access to medical assistance amidst the bustling Carnival celebrations.
From 7 AM to 7 PM, those who require immediate attention will have the option for synchronous remote consultations, which will facilitate timely health care services without the need for physical visits. This central telehealth initiative demonstrates the city's proactive approach in managing health crises during high-demand periods, ensuring safety and care for participants of the Carnival festivities.
