Welfare begins with the first delivery of cards for elderly and women

The Secretary of Welfare, Ariadna Montiel Reyes, announced the distribution of Welfare Cards for older adults and women, which began from February 10 to 14.

The Secretary of Welfare for Mexico, Ariadna Montiel Reyes, has announced the commencement of the distribution of Welfare Cards, specifically targeted at older adults and women. This distribution is part of the government’s commitment to provide financial support through the Pensión Mujeres Bienestar and the Pensión para el Bienestar de las Personas Adultas Mayores programs, which cater to women aged 60 and above and senior citizens aged 65 and above. From February 10 to 14, individuals who registered for these pensions in December will receive their cards, allowing them access to financial benefits.

Montiel emphasized the importance of timely registration as every two months new beneficiaries can register for the programs as they reach the eligible ages. To inform recipients about the collection of their cards, the government will send SMS notifications detailing the date, time, and location of distribution. In addition, individuals can verify their registration status by visiting the official website of the Secretary of Welfare, which allows them to check their CURP and locate the nearest distribution module.

For the successful retrieval of the Welfare Card, beneficiaries must attend the designated location, bringing along appropriate identification in both original and photocopy formats. This initiative is a significant step towards increasing the accessibility of welfare benefits among vulnerable populations, aiding in the promotion of financial security for the elderly and women in Mexico, and highlighting the government’s ongoing efforts to support these groups amid economic challenges.
