Ariadna Montiel announces the start of registrations for pensions for older adults and women

The Mexican government has initiated registrations for the Pension for the Well-being of Older Adults and the Women's Well-being Pension from February 16 to 22.

Ariadna Montiel Reyes, the Secretary of Well-being in Mexico, has announced that registration for pensions aimed at older adults and women will take place from February 16 to 22. This initiative covers the Pension for Well-being for individuals aged 65 and older, as well as the Women's Well-being Pension for Mexican women aged 60 to 64. The government aims to provide financial support to these demographics as part of a broader social welfare strategy.

Montiel highlighted that over 2,500 registration modules are available across the country, facilitating easy access for prospective applicants. The modules will operate daily from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, allowing individuals to submit their applications conveniently. For those interested in applying, the Secretary advised to check the official website of the Ministry of Well-being to locate their nearest registration module.

To register for the pensions, several documents are required, including a valid official identification, a recent CURP printout, a legible birth certificate, and a proof of address not older than six months. Through this new registration phase, the government reinforces its commitment to supporting vulnerable populations in Mexico, especially during times of economic hardship and uncertainty, by enabling access to social security benefits aimed at improving their quality of life.
