This acquisition marks the first delivery of the Airbus A220-300 for the year, which is set to strengthen the airline's existing fleet utilized across its expansive route network. The newly added aircraft will not only enhance airBaltic's services but will also cater to cooperative partners in European markets by providing ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) services.
The ongoing development of the fleet demonstrates airBaltic's commitment to flexibility and efficiency in responding to passenger demand year-round, especially considering seasonal fluctuations in travel. To date, airBaltic has successfully transported over 24 million passengers with its Airbus A220-300 aircraft, completing approximately 250,000 flights and accumulating 551,000 flight hours. In a move towards enhancing onboard services, airBaltic is gradually equipping its fleet with complimentary Starlink internet service.
