The number of tourists increased slightly last year

In 2025, Estonia saw a slight increase in tourism with about 3.7 million visitors, though still below pre-pandemic levels.

According to Statistics Estonia, the total number of tourists staying in Estonian accommodation establishments reached approximately 3.7 million in 2025, reflecting a 2% increase from the previous year. However, this figure still represents a 3% decline compared to the year prior to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2019. The data indicates a mixed recovery in tourism, with nearly 1.95 million international tourists and about 1.74 million domestic tourists visiting Estonia in 2025. The chief analyst of Statistics Estonia, Piret Pukk, noted a 5% rise in foreign tourists compared to 2024, while domestic tourist numbers were slightly down by 1%.
