Volaris announces four new routes at Asur airports

Volaris has announced the launch of four new national routes at airports managed by Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste in Mexico.

Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste (Asur) reported that Volaris is set to begin operations on four new national routes starting in early June. This expansion will increase the airline's operated routes from 36 to 40 within Asur's airport network, strengthening its presence in key cities such as Cancún, Cozumel, Huatulco, and Mérida.

The new routes include Puebla–Huatulco, Puebla–Villahermosa, Querétaro–Oaxaca, and Querétaro–Veracruz, aimed at enhancing connectivity between important urban centers and tourist destinations across the country. Asur has emphasized the significance of these additions for facilitating access to travel, highlighting the airline's role in the tourism sector.

Currently, Volaris operates an average of 634 weekly flights at Asur airports, which is expected to significantly benefit the local economy by increasing travel options for thousands of customers, ultimately promoting tourism and economic activity in the regions served by these new routes.
