The Civil Police in Brazil are investigating the homicide of a 55-year-old man named Luiz Antônio de Paula, who was reported missing by his family on January 22, despite having not been seen since December. During their investigation, police traced the case back to his 51-year-old partner, who confessed to the crime.

According to the police, the woman admitted to drugging Luiz, killing him, and subsequently dismembering his body. She disclosed that she disposed of the remains near a creek in the Monte Verde district of Camanducaia in Southern Minas Gerais. Disturbingly, the woman also indicated that she fed some parts of his body to their dogs, which raises additional ethical and legal concerns regarding the crime.
