On February 9, 2026, the Ecuadorian Army officially announced the commencement of its recruitment process targeted at individuals interested in joining its three prestigious training institutions: Military Eloy Alfaro (Esmil), Soldiers Vencedores del Cenepa (Esforsft), and Iwias (Eiwias). The essential requirements for applicants include being either a citizen born in Ecuador or a child of Ecuadorian parents, regardless of their birthplace.
