'Minister, I am not satisfied with the answer you provided...', Maithili left them speechless

Maithili Thakur, a renowned singer and member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly, criticized the government's dismissal of the dire condition of local hospitals during a heated debate.

During a significant debate in the Bihar Legislative Assembly, noted singer and Ali Nagar MLA Maithili Thakur raised concerns regarding the poor state of the hospitals in her constituency. She vehemently rejected the government's written response which claimed that the hospital infrastructure was not dilapidated and merely required repairs. Thakur, who personally visited the hospital, insisted that the reality was starkly different, describing the building as severely dilapidated with health services confined to a small room.

Thakur further elaborated that previously, the hospital was staffed with two MBBS doctors, but now it relies solely on AYUSH doctors, which she deemed inadequate for the healthcare needs of a population ranging from 40,000 to 50,000. She advocated for the necessity of at least two MBBS doctors to ensure proper healthcare services for her constituents, emphasizing that the hospital is centrally located in two key blocks, Ali Nagar and Ghanashyampur, from which thousands could benefit.

In her address, young MLA Maithili Thakur showcased an impressive balance of politics and propriety, demonstrating her commitment to addressing public health issues and holding the government accountable. Her statements not only highlighted critical shortcomings in the healthcare system but also urged the authorities to acknowledge and address the pressing needs of the community, thus raising essential questions about governance and public welfare in Bihar.
