Aspropyrgos acquires a second General High School: The programming contract worth 9.88 million has been signed

The signing of a contract for the construction of a second General High School in Aspropyrgos aims to alleviate congestion in the only existing high school and improve educational conditions in the area.

The Attica Regional Governor Nikos Hardalias signed a programming contract for the construction of a second General High School in Aspropyrgos, highlighting the regional plans to enhance the educational process and conditions for both students and teachers. For years, Aspropyrgos has had only one high school, which serves more than 600 students, leading to overcrowding issues that hinder the school's operation and the educational process. This new contract, co-signed by the Mayor of Aspropyrgos Ioannis Iliadis, marks a significant step in addressing the long-standing issue of school infrastructure in the region.

The new General High School will have a capacity of 300 students and is projected to cost €9,880,000 (excluding VAT). This initiative is seen as crucial not only for providing a better educational environment but also for tackling the persistent challenges of school facilities within secondary education in Aspropyrgos. The move is expected to foster a more effective learning atmosphere and distribute the student population more evenly, thus supporting the smooth operation and educational success of local institutions.

The investment in educational infrastructure reflects a commitment to prioritize the community's needs and improve the quality of education in a region that has faced challenges due to inadequate facilities. This project is set to have a lasting impact on the educational landscape of Aspropyrgos and serve as a model for similar initiatives across Greece.
