The Korea Broadcasting Union has filed charges against four individuals, including KBS President Park Jang-beom, for allegedly preparing a live broadcast under martial law following the 12.3 emergency declaration.
The Korea Broadcasting Union (KBU) has filed a complaint with the police against four individuals, including KBS President Park Jang-beom, regarding allegations that they prepared for a live broadcast under martial law just before the declaration of the emergency on December 3. This complaint targets former President Yoon Seok-yeol, former Presidential Office Press Secretary Choi Jae-hyeok, and former KBS News Director Choi Jae-hyun as well as President Park, accusing them of violating broadcasting laws and inciting insurrection. The broadcasting law explicitly states that no one can impose regulations or interference regarding broadcasting arrangements beyond what the law permits.
