Expansion of Klaipėda's 'Akropolis': Separate Building Planned, €6 Million Investment

Klaipėda's 'Akropolis' shopping and entertainment center is undergoing an expansion with a new building planned at a cost of €6 million, set to be completed in seven months.

The 'Akropolis' shopping and entertainment center in Klaipėda, Lithuania, is set to expand with a new building plan that includes a €6 million investment. Construction is being carried out in phases, with the initial groundwork and additional parking spaces already completed. The main construction work is expected to start soon and will take approximately seven months to finalize, allowing the shopping center to maintain regular operations during developments.

Paulius Pocius, the marketing and communications manager for 'Akropolis Group', emphasized the importance of coordinating construction activities with the shopping center's operational requirements to minimize disruption for visitors. The new structure will occupy 3,500 square meters and will feature a separate entrance, enhancing accessibility for customers. This expansion comes as the current occupancy rate of the existing 'Akropolis' facility is nearly full, at 99.7%, showcasing the demand and potential for new retail spaces.

Klaipėda's 'Akropolis' currently hosts 197 shopping, service, dining, and entertainment establishments, with plans to further enrich the variety of offerings available to visitors. While the center has been well-received, the expansion aims to provide even more options for consumers and accommodate the growing market demand for retail and leisure spaces in the region.
