Exhibition celebrates São Paulo anniversary with paintings about the city

The exhibition "Memória Paulistana" showcases the works of Cristiane Carbone, celebrating São Paulo's anniversary through art.

The "Memória Paulistana" exhibition, organized by the Associação Paulista de Medicina, is on display until March 13 and pays tribute to São Paulo's anniversary through works by artist Cristiane Carbone. The exhibition features paintings that explore the history and architecture of the city, primarily using oil on canvas. These artworks aim to create a dialogue between the past and present of the metropolis.

Cristiane Carbone, who has 34 years of artistic experience, is not only an artist but also serves as the vice-president of the Instituto Histórico e Geográfico de São Paulo. Her series "Memória Paulistana" is part of a broader thematic project that includes other works like "Pátria Amada Brasil" and "Patrimônio Histórico." Carbone emphasizes the significance of art in stopping time, allowing people to appreciate and respect both the heritage and the achievements of the city.

The exhibition is open to the public from Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the ground floor of the Associação Paulista de Medicina, located on Avenida Brigadeiro Luís Antônio in Bela Vista. It provides an opportunity for residents and visitors alike to engage with São Paulo's rich cultural tapestry through the lens of contemporary art.
