A severe road accident occurred on Sunday in the Jagatpur area of Raebareli district, Uttar Pradesh, resulting in the tragic deaths of four young women while several others sustained serious injuries. The district magistrate, Harshita Mathur, promptly arrived at the scene to assess the situation following reports of the accident. Authorities have taken the deceased's bodies to the district hospital for preservation in the mortuary, while injured individuals are receiving treatment at nearby hospitals.

The deceased have been identified as Asma (18), Vimanashi (23), Shavalani (22), and Ravi Mam (14), all hailing from the villages of Koder and Chuli in the Jagatpur area. In addition to the fatalities, five other girls sustained injuries, including Riya Patel (14), Viya Patel (12), Sadhna (9), Meena (22), and Reshma (14), with Viya Patel in critical condition and referred to AIIMS for advanced treatment. This unfortunate incident has shocked the local community, highlighting the dangers of road travel in this region.
