In 2025, Enugu State achieved a remarkable Internal Generated Revenue (IGR) of ₦406.77 billion, a substantial increase from the ₦180.5 billion earned in 2024. This achievement was reported by the Executive Chairman of the Enugu State Internal Revenue Service, Mr. Emmanuel Ekene Nnamani, during a press briefing. The state had set a target of ₦509.9 billion for IGR but managed to reach approximately 80% of that goal, indicating a strong performance from the revenue collection body under the leadership of Governor Peter Mbah.

The 2025 revenue figures symbolize a significant advancement in the state’s fiscal health, showcasing enhanced fiscal resilience and sustainability.
