Breakthrough on the northern exit from Warsaw. The first works on S7 have started

Construction works have commenced on the S7 route near Warsaw, aiming to enhance the road infrastructure with new connections and expanded lanes.

Construction work has begun on the S7 route along the northern exit of Warsaw, overseen by the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA). The current preparatory activities are crucially linked to the planned expansion of the route, which includes the cutting of trees in the locality of Łomianki and Dziekanów Leśny. These works are scheduled between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM, with main road work planned outside peak hours, although temporary lane reductions and slowdowns may occur on weekdays.

The S7 segment stretching from Czosnów to Kiełpin will span 9.2 kilometers and will be aligned with the existing national road. Ultimately, the project aims to develop two roadways featuring three traffic lanes in each direction. This infrastructure upgrade not only focuses on improving road capacity but also incorporates the creation of three new road junctions: Czosnów, Palmiry, and Sadowa, as well as parallel roads designed for local traffic.

This expansion is significant given the increasing volume of traffic in and around Warsaw, and aims to enhance accessibility and connectivity for commuters in the area. As this project unfolds, it is expected to ease congestion and improve travel efficiency for both local residents and long-distance drivers, while potentially impacting the surrounding environment during the construction phase.
