Construction of the expressway near Warsaw approved. A new 9 km road will be built
The construction of a 9 km expressway section of S7 from Czosnów to Kiełpin near Warsaw has been approved, with anticipated completion by spring 2028.
The Mazowiecki Voivodeship Office announced on March 11 that the approval for the construction of a crucial segment of the S7 expressway has been granted. This span will link Czosnów, located south of Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki, to Kiełpin, which is situated north of Łomianki. Currently, the road in question is a two-lane national road, DK7, which will be upgraded to a dual carriageway with three lanes in each direction under the new plan.
The project includes the construction of three interchanges at Czosnów, Palmiry, and Sadowa, along with parallel roads to support local traffic and environmental protection systems. The estimated cost for this infrastructure task is 536.3 million zloty, with a completion target set for spring 2028. The timeline for the project execution is planned for 36 months, excluding winter periods, indicating a significant investment in improving transport facilities in the region.
This development not only enhances connectivity in the Mazowieckie area but also signifies a broader commitment to infrastructure upgrades amidst Poland's growing traffic demands. The expressway will play a vital role in facilitating regional transit, promoting economic growth, and improving the safety and efficiency of transportation for residents and businesses alike.
