Abarth Introduced New Versions of the 600e Model. The Only Problem is the Price
Abarth has unveiled two new trim levels of its 600e model, the base Turismo and the premium Competizione, but the prices may be a concern for potential buyers.
Abarth has recently launched two new trim levels for its 600e model: the basic Turismo and the premium Competizione. These new variations replace the previous Abarth 600e and the limited Scorpionissima edition. The Turismo trim is positioned as the entry point into the 600e lineup, priced at around 40,000 euros and featuring a potent 240 horsepower designed for everyday sports driving, which aims to combine accessible performance with Abarth's distinctive character.
The Competizione variant stands out with its impressive performance capabilities, setting a new standard in Abarth's racing lineage. Priced at approximately 45,000 euros, it boasts an electric motor delivering 207 kW (280 horsepower) and can reach a top speed of 200 km/h, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.85 seconds. This model is equipped with advanced features like a Torsen differential, which underscores its racing capabilities and ambition.
Despite Abarth's attempt to revitalize its brand with these new models, there are concerns regarding their pricing, which may deter some potential customers. The shift toward higher-priced offerings reflects the challenges the brand has faced in recent years, as it aims to attract a broader audience while maintaining its performance-oriented reputation. The introduction of the 600e variants marks a significant step for Abarth as it seeks to redefine its market position in the automotive landscape.
