The Latvian series "Aurora. Redakcija" will be presented at the international "Series Mania" festival in France

The Latvian series "Aurora. Redakcija" has been selected to be showcased at the prominent Series Mania festival in France, highlighting its significance in the international television industry.

The "Series Mania" festival is one of the most significant events in the television industry in Europe, attracting television channels, streaming platforms, producers, and distributors from around the globe each year. Within the framework of the festival, a 'Co-Pro Pitching Sessions' segment allows selected projects to present their ideas to an international audience, fostering co-production partnerships. This year, of more than 400 submissions from 65 countries, only 15 promising projects have been chosen to participate in these sessions.

The inclusion of the multi-part art film "Aurora. Redakcija" in Europe’s largest series festival, "Series Mania," represents a considerable achievement for the Latvian series industry on the international stage. In the past, the festival has seen significant successes for Latvian productions, including the acclaimed series "Padomju džinsi," co-authored by Juris Kursietis, who also serves as the director and main screenwriter for "Aurora. Redakcija." This showcases the potential for Latvian serial productions to garner international attention and recognition at major industry events.

As these selected projects are provided the opportunity to utilize the advantages offered by the festival, it not only opens doors for the individual series showcased but also highlights Latvia's growing presence and influence in the European television landscape. The recognition of these projects demonstrates a flourishing creative environment within the Latvian film and television industry, signaling the potential for further international collaborations and productions.
