hy introduces strain number to differentiate probiotics

Hy is launching a new campaign centered around a 'strain number' scheme to distinguish its probiotics.

Hy, a leader in the probiotics industry in South Korea, is introducing a novel standard called the 'strain number' as part of its initiative to differentiate its probiotic products. This unique identification system allows consumers to easily recognize the specific strain of probiotics they are using, as each strain is validated for safety and functionality through rigorous internal research. Since its initial success with the domestication of lactic acid bacteria in 1995, Hy has developed an impressive library of 99 proprietary strains, with several recognized by health agencies in Korea and the U.S. for their functional benefits.

The recently commercialized strain, HY7017, has been acknowledged by the Korea Food and Drug Administration for its potential to enhance immune function, making it a significant addition to Hy’s product line, particularly in their 'M-Pro Immune' offering. This strain number offers consumers transparency regarding the efficacy and safety of the probiotics, as it guarantees exclusive use of the labeled ingredient after validation of its functional attributes. With this development, Hy now possesses nine individually recognized functional ingredients, further solidifying its reputation in the market.

Hy's marketing team has enhanced consumer engagement by integrating strain number QR codes into product packaging, which allows customers to scan and access detailed information about the strains utilized in their products. This initiative not only fosters trust and transparency but also aims to elevate the brand's profile as a scientific leader in probiotics. As part of the launch, Hy is also organizing an event to encourage consumer participation, where users can win gold prizes while learning more about the probiotics they choose.
