In the aftermath, his enraged supporters caused chaos by blocking NH-19 near Chhata by placing his body on the road, attacking police and administrative officials who came to mediate. The situation escalated as the crowd resorted to stone-pelting and firing, prompting the police to take necessary actions to restore order, leading to the arrest of about two dozen rioters.
