Weather: Cloudy with local rains – Temperature remains at the same levels
Today, Greece is expected to experience cloudy weather with local rains and a possibility of isolated thunderstorms, particularly in the western regions.
On Monday, March 23, the National Meteorological Service of Greece forecasts that much of the country will face cloudy weather with local rains. There is a chance of isolated thunderstorms, especially in the western parts, while snowfall is expected in mountainous areas of the mainland. Visibility may be locally reduced during morning and evening hours, and wind conditions will vary, with speeds of 2 to 4 Beaufort in the west, while eastern regions will experience winds from the north at speeds of 4 to 5, which may reach up to 6 Beaufort temporarily in the Aegean.
In the region of Macedonia, particularly in the afternoon, local rains are anticipated, and isolated thunderstorms are possible in the west. Additionally, snowfall is expected in the mountainous areas of western Macedonia. The winds will be variable at speeds of 2 to 4 Beaufort, with northeastern winds temporarily reaching up to 5 Beaufort in the eastern regions. Temperature levels across Macedonia are forecasted to range from 6 to 16 degrees Celsius.
Overall, temperatures in most areas of Greece will not fluctuate significantly, with highs expected to reach between 15 to 16 degrees, and locally up to 17 degrees in the western and southern regions. Residents should prepare for these changing weather conditions, especially in the western parts where thunderstorms could occur and where snowfall will be present in the higher elevations.
