Sinaloa holds a ride to promote environmental awareness, mobility, and social well-being
The 'Pueblos y Paisajes 2026: Riding for Water Care' event in Sinaloa brought together over 2,500 cyclists to promote environmental awareness and social well-being.
In an effort led by Governor Rubén Rocha Moya to enhance public policies that support social well-being, active mobility, and environmental consciousness, Sinaloa hosted the 'Pueblos y Paisajes 2026: Riding for Water Care' event. This initiative attracted more than 2,500 cyclists who participated in a day that blended sports with citizen engagement and commitment to natural resources.
From early morning, the capital of Sinaloa transformed into a gathering point for families, cycling groups, and the general public who answered the call to ride for a significant cause: water conservation. Participants geared up with their bicycles and helmets, emanating a shared enthusiasm as they set off from Ley Express, in front of the Arco de La Conquista, marking the beginning of a route that connected the city with surrounding communities.
The route incorporated the municipality of El Tamarindo and the community of Limón de los Ramos, allowing cyclists to enjoy the natural landscapes while promoting awareness about resource conservation. This event not only highlighted the importance of environmental protection but also encouraged community participation and active lifestyles among residents.
