A family mother tragically died in Tenerife
Rose, a 56-year-old British mother, tragically died in Tenerife after being struck by a powerful wave while swimming.
A tragic incident occurred in late February when 56-year-old Rose, a British mother, died in Tenerife after being hit by an exceptionally strong wave while swimming. This unfortunate event happened in Costa Adeje, where she had gone for a morning swim due to the hotel pool being closed. Despite being a good swimmer, Rose was caught off guard by the wave, which threw her against the rocks, leading to critical injuries.
Witnesses at the beach quickly alerted emergency services after seeing Rose in distress. Reports indicate she remained submerged for around five minutes, and despite over ten minutes of resuscitation efforts, she was later transported to the hospital where she was placed on life support. Unfortunately, after a week in critical condition and suffering severe brain injuries, doctors decided to end life support on March 6th, and she passed away on March 8th.
The incident was covered by various British media outlets, including The Independent, highlighting the tragic loss of a devoted mother during her holiday. The family expressed their devastation over this unexpected tragedy, drawing attention to the dangers of swimming in unpredictable ocean conditions, even for experienced swimmers.
