The footage reveals Santos running toward three people, reportedly brandishing an object, before one of them opened fire, hitting him five times as he attempted to approach them, leading to the attackers fleeing the scene.

Upon the police's arrival, they found no one present at the scene, only to receive another call moments later reporting gunfire. When officers again made their way back to the area, they discovered Santos had been shot and was in critical condition. Emergency medical services transported him to a healthcare facility, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
