Man had his car stolen - was run over as they escaped
A man in Oppegård, Norway, was injured after being run over by the thieves who stole his car and attempted to flee.
Three days ago, a man had his gray Toyota Auris stolen in Oppegård. On Sunday evening, while filling up at a gas station near Svinesund, he spotted the stolen car and approached the individuals gathered around it. He confronted them, asserting that it was indeed his vehicle, according to the police operations manager, Atle Vesttorp. It was reported that three people were near the stolen car at that time.
During the confrontation, the thieves drove away and struck the car owner with the vehicle. Fortunately, he was not seriously injured and was transported to the hospital for further examination. Witnesses who observed the incident have already spoken to the police, who are also working to obtain video footage from the area to establish a clear sequence of events.
As of now, there are no suspects in the case, and the police are urging any witnesses to come forward if they see the stolen vehicle. An active search for the car is ongoing as authorities work to resolve the incident and bring the perpetrators to justice.
