The death of Chandra Shekhar Das, popularly referred to as 'Farsa Wale Baba', in a road accident in the Kosi Kalan area of Mathura has sparked significant unrest among his supporters. Following the incident, police recorded severe disturbances and the blocking of the Delhi-Agra National Highway, resulting in the arrest of 20 individuals who are now in jail for inciting violence and obstructing traffic. Authorities have also filed FIRs against approximately 300 unidentified individuals, including 22 named suspects, indicating the scale of unrest following Das's death.

Chandra Shekhar Das, 57, died early on Saturday morning, which catalyzed a massive outpouring of grief and rage from his followers. Many gathered on the highway to protest the circumstances of his death, particularly with the presence of Indian President Droupadi Murmu in the vicinity on a three-day visit to Uttar Pradesh, intensifying the potential for conflict in the area.
