Entrance to Cidade Satélite on BR-101 has Closure for Sanitation Work

The access road to Cidade Satélite in the Pitimbu neighborhood will be closed for a month due to sanitation works by the Companhia de Águas e Esgotos do Rio Grande do Norte.

The access to the Cidade Satélite housing complex in the Pitimbu neighborhood will undergo a full closure for one month starting on Monday, March 23, due to sanitation works being carried out by the Companhia de Águas e Esgotos do Rio Grande do Norte (Caern). The public utility indicated that at some point during these 30 days, there will also be partial closures affecting the entrance to Nova Parnamirim, necessary for the ongoing works.

According to Caern, the closures will occur at specific locations, including the entry from Rua Cidade do Sol, located on the marginal roadway of BR-101 that provides access to the Cidade Satélite complex, adjacent to the Havan store. Additionally, throughout the construction period, there will be partial closures on Avenida Abel Cabral, which serves as access to Nova Parnamirim. The sanitation project is a critical infrastructure development aimed at improving the water and sewage system in the area.

This initiative is part of a larger project implemented in multiple stages by Caern, and the fourth phase is currently underway. The company stated that it will collaborate with traffic authorities from both Natal and Parnamirim to manage the flow of traffic and ensure public safety during the closures. While these measures may cause temporary inconvenience for residents and drivers in the area, the long-term benefits of improved sanitation and infrastructure are expected to outweigh these short-term disruptions.
